Moments of Courage – Short Stories

Courage quoteWe’ve all lived them, or have we? But we love to hear stories of courage. There are moments in our lives when we are called upon, even in our fear, to stand up for what we believe in. To do the right thing, or face a fear that has held us captive.

In short, courage gives us strength when we don’t feel we have any. We do what needs to be done. In this section, occasionally, I’ll post stories that prove there is such a thing as courage.

Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear – not absence of fear.”
Mark Twain

The first two stories are entitled “Courageous Perseverance” and “Testament to Courage.” Enjoy.

Cracked-Pot

We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; let your light shine through your cracked pot. Ring the bells that still can ring, Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, That's how the light gets in and comes out.
