The Days of Noah – Part 3 – Interspecies Breeding Continued

Why do I keep studying the Antediluvian period? Because my curiosity never seems satisfied. I’d never heard about any of that before, and Enoch was so inspiring; I want to know more. How could Enoch live as a righteous man in such a wicked period?
We can’t imagine how evil that time was. It was so bad the Bible says that God, in Genesis 6:6, “…was sorry that He had made man on the earth; He was grieved in His heart.” (NKJV)
Genesis 6:6 follows verses 1-5. Those verses outline what happened … beautiful women, “sons of God” (watchers?), giants, etc. Verse 4 reads, “There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.”
My last post talked about interspecies breeding, how donkeys and zebras, lions and tigers, etc. were being interbred. Why? Here’s what Google said. “Scientists interbreed lions and tigers only in controlled, captive settings (emphasis theirs) for research, education, and historical interest. In the wild, natural hybridization is extremely rare because of ecological and behavioral barriers.” I believe it goes against God’s design. God created all the animals and then mankind. He did not create interspecies breeding. I don’t think He’s really happy with this kind of experimentation.
I’ve never seen the movie “The Island of Doctor Moreau.” But I know it’s about varying degrees of experimentation between apes and man. Yuck. Honestly. I believe it takes a somewhat warped mind to pursue this kind of study of interspecies breeding and carry it out.

Interspecies breeding between angels and women produced giants. Not Goliath-sized either. He would have been classified as a dwarf. I read in two different places how tall they might have been. One said 450 feet tall; the other said 4,500 feet tall. Both are horrifying to contemplate. Conservative Protestant denominations cannot and will not explain giants or this interspecies breeding that produced them. They have an entirely different idea of what Genesis 6:2 means. They think it means women from Seth’s line and men from Cain’s line. But they don’t explain the giants.
What do you think about this? Leave a comment and let me know. Next time: More on my hero Enoch.
