Look Forward, Backward in December — Part II

In the book of Isaiah, God tells Israel to both forget and to remember “the former things.” What God wants us to forget is to get past our past. He’s put a new heart in us. #LookForwardBackwardinDecember #amwriting @donnalhsmith @a3writers TWEETABLE

Look Forward, Backward in December — Part I

Every year is different. For the most part, I’ve really enjoyed this year. As I look back, it’s been one of the best three years that I can remember of my life. Well, maybe five. I don’t know, I only know it’s been one of the best. How do you evaluate “best?” Happy, healthy, fulfilled, and thankful—that’s how I grade one of the best years of my life. #LookForwardBackwardinDecember #amwriting @donnalhsmith @a3writers TWEETABLE

November Thankfulness—Part III

Thanksgiving growing up was fun. Turkey, mashed potatoes, vegetables, pumpkin pie, and possibly a salad. Simple, yet tasty. Creating memories with family on Thanksgiving is a good way to remember the holiday after it has passed. #NovemberThankfulness #attitudeofgratitude #Thanksgiving @donnalhsmith @a3writers TWEETABLE

November Thankfulness—Part II

Sometimes it’s hard to be thankful — to find something to be grateful for. But we can find something. Even in the worst of circumstances, we can find something to be thankful for. #NovemberThankfulness #attitudeofgratitude #Thanksgiving @donnalhsmith @a3writers TWEETABLE Continue reading “November Thankfulness—Part II”

November Thankfulness—Part I

No life is perfect. No year is without some trial, error, and learning. This year, though very wonderful, I believe is only the beginning for me. My pastor calls it “convergence.” Where it all comes together. I’m very thankful, and I’m going to continue to cultivate that attitude of gratitude. When we cultivate thankfulness in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday, we partner with God and allow Him to work more fully in our lives. #NovemberThankfulness #MeghansChoice #RosesRedemption #attitudeofgratitude #Thanksgiving #convergence @donnalhsmith @a3writers TWEETABLE

Learn 2 Discern in October — Part V

We’ve been talking this month about learning to discern the different voices we hear in our lives. Sometimes, it’s like living in fog. How to tell them apart, and what their source is. Man’s voice only looks from an earthly perspective, but still has another source. God’s voice speaks of His love, mercy, kindness, and strength. We talked of “mob” violence. That’s always the devil’s voice. He comes to kill, steal, and destroy. That’s his goal. #Learn2DiscerninOctober #thedevilsvoice #Godsvoice #Halloween #Jewishsynangogueattack #Pittsburghsynagogueattack @donnalhsmith @a3writers TWEETABLE
