BLOG NEWS – January 2019

Thank you for reading this blog. I appreciate each and every one of you. From time to time, I either expand or cut back the number of posts per week I publish.

For several years now (and the blog is only four years old), mostly I publish twice a week. On Tuesday, I publish an encouragement or inspirational post. Wednesday posts have always been about the craft of writing.

I’m switching things up this year. Last year, I changed the WordPress template I’ve been using to get a new look.

Starting next week, I’ll continue the Tuesday inspirational post, but the Wednesday post may either be a continuation of Tuesday, or something completely. I’m not sure yet.

Let me know what you think. I’d love to hear from you.

Happy New Year 2019! See the Possibilities—Part 2

What are your hopes and dreams for 2019? Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? Do you keep them, or do they fall by the wayside? Pick one thing you want to do now. Work toward it. Having one goal is better than trying to make a list of things we need more energy to change than we have available. #HappyNewYear2019 #Lookforward #SeethePossibilities TWEETABLE

Happy New Year 2019! See the Possibilities—Part I

In December, I posted a lot about remembering and looking back over this year. Remember the good. Appreciate the present. Look forward to the future. Now that we have a new year, it’s a new beginning. Release the baggage of the past. Hold on to hope that this year will be spectacular. Because it will be—in its own unique way. #HappyNewYear2019 #Lookforward #SeethePossibilities TWEETABLE

SPECIAL BLOG POST — Breakthrough is COMING!

The week before Christmas, I had a dream. Dreams can be from God, our own soul, or from the devil. But this one I recognized was from God, because it was so encouraging. I’ve titled it, “Breakthrough is Coming!” #HappyNewYear2019 #BreakthroughisComing @donnalhsmith @a3writers TWEETABLE

Look Forward, Backward in December — Part IV — Merry Christmas!

Everyone talks about the “best Christmas ever.” That this year’s Christmas is better than last Christmas, which was better than the year before. It shows appreciation, but should we compare? Maybe. If you were to ask me, I don’t have a “best Christmas ever.” I have maybe my “top memorable Christmases” and a few “tough Christmases” I remember. Looking back to remember is important while appreciating the “now,” the present time, We can still look ahead to the future—with hope. #LookForwardBackwardinDecember #amwriting #MerryChristmas @donnalhsmith @a3writers TWEETABLE

Look Forward, Backward in December — Part III

Sometimes, we think God has forgotten us, but His word says, that’s impossible. Isaiah 49:15 says, “Can a woman forget her nursing child…Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you.” When God makes a promise, He keeps it. #LookForwardBackwardinDecember #amwriting @donnalhsmith @a3writers TWEETABLE

We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; let your light shine through your cracked pot. Ring the bells that still can ring, Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, That's how the light gets in and comes out.
