Heart Full of Love––Part IV
Malachi 3:10 says, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you,” says the LORD of heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!” Click to Tweet #WindowsofHeaven #PourOutBlessings #HeartFullOfLove
Testing God
This is the only time God said we could test Him––in our finances. A friend asked me a while back about tithing. She knew what the Bible said about it, but she wasn’t in a strong financial position. The point I want to make with this post is not about tithing. You’re either going to do it or try to make an excuse for not giving.
The point is what God says about it.
I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in!
Wow! I think I’ve finally come to the beginning of that place of the windows of heaven being opened. I’ve waited my whole life for this time.
And all I hear from the Lord is: “You’re just beginning.” That’s an amazing concept to me.
On this blog, you’ve read about a lot of my sorrows. Thank you. It helped me to write about them. I want to now write about my joys. And you’re reading those, too. Thank you.
I was very unhappy. I’d had a string of disappointments and pretty all my dreams for my novel were dead. The ACFW PA chapter was dead. I received several publishing rejections, and one from a school to be a student mentor, and hadn’t placed well in a small writing contest with my entries.
This Year
This is what I’m saying now. “What a difference a year makes!” I did not want to enter 2017. All I could see was pain. And I did have some, but I’m through it. And God has been pouring out His blessings.
My book is out. I have new biological relatives I’ve connected with, plus strong re-connections with a cousin I grew up with. I’ve visited my brother in California, and I placed 1st in that little writing contest in two categories, and 2nd in another. I also made the finals of another regional ACFW contest in Arizona.
There is Always Hope
Hope is what I held onto last year, when all seemed lost. I would grit my teeth and say, “I will follow the Lord, no matter what!” And last year, it was “no matter what.”
What a Difference a Year Makes! Praying you have a very Happy New Year. If you’re where I was at last year, remember, there is always hope. God will change your life. Give Him that chance. Click To Tweet #WindowsofHeaven #PourOutBlessings #HeartFullOfLove
