April Showers of Blessings—Part IV

We’re looking at the year through the eyes of each month. Wonderful things can certainly come in any month, but somehow, right now, April is a time of blessing, because of traditional “April showers.” Click to Tweet #AprilShowersofBlessing #GodsTimingForYourLife

This month has certainly been one blessing after another for me. It started a little over a month ago, when I was asked to take over management of a writer’s website. As a result, two speaking engagements opened for me that would never have come otherwise.

Just a week ago, I attended a prophetic conference, and decided to step out in faith and take extra training in inner healing. Eventually, I want to pass along the healing I have in rejection.

We go from glory to glory, from strength to strength, the Bible says. Often, we’re tested before we move from one thing to another. Dutch Sheets, in his book God’s Timing for Your Life, calls it “Baca Boot Camp.”

Psalm 84:4-7 say, “Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah.

“Blessed are those whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways to Zion.

“As they go through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the early rain also covers it with pools.

“They go from strength to strength; each one appears before God in Zion.”

The word “Baca” means place of weeping, crying out. Therefore, a valley of Baca, would mean a deep place of lament. Sheets says, “As we pass through these valleys, if we understand how to walk, work, and cooperate with God, then springs can burst forth from these seemingly lifeless places.”

We need to learn to persevere during these hard seasons. That’s what I’ve learned to do. I outlined some of the things during my last season of “Baca.” But God was with me. Even though quite angry at times about how things were turning out, I stuck it out with God.

And now, I’m reaping the benefits. Another verse, we will reap if we don’t faint.

Keep the faith, baby. That’s a saying from my time. Yikes, I fear I am dating myself. Stay the course. Persevere. Showers of blessing are coming your way. Click to Tweet #AprilShowersofBlessing #GodsTimingForYourLife

Cracked-Pot

We have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; let your light shine through your cracked pot. Ring the bells that still can ring, Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, That's how the light gets in and comes out.
