March Winds — Part III

This is the last week of March. The winds of change are calming down a bit, but they have left their mark on me. I am not the same person I was even three weeks ago…or earlier this year.
There are seasons in life when all goes along, time passes, but it seems nothing is happening. Then, suddenly, things begin to happen, and accelerate.

I’m not sure what happened to Part II, but we’re going to craft a heroine – the most important character in a romance.
Crafting the Heroine. The heroine is the key to any romance. Yes, we women also want a great guy for her to end up with, and we’ll talk about crafting him, too, at a later date. The romantic heroine is the reader’s alter ego. She controls everything the reader feels. Click to Tweet #amwriting #writingromance101 #craftingtheheroine

Thought you’d enjoy a reblog of writing romance. For the next few weeks, I’ll be reblogging from last August, then have new posts about Writing Romance. Thanks for reading!
So, you think you want to write a romance? It’s a great genre. We all love fairy tales where the prince and the princess live happily ever after, right? That’s probably where romance got its start. A story with a happy ending, where guy meets girl. They get together. Live happy. Click to Tweet #amwriting #romancewriting101

The month of March started out here in our area with a Nor’Easter. We didn’t get snow, just a little rain. But we also got a lot of wind. #windsofchange #marchforward
Spring is on it’s way, but until it gets here, it’s still cold. However, about two and three weeks ago, we had two days in a row each week that were wonderful spring days. Last week, I listed the Bible verse from Amos 3 about God revealing things to His prophets ahead of time. Prophecy is a gift. It’s not something we ask for, it’s something God gives. The prophetic significance to the Philadelphia Eagles winning the Super Bowl is that it is finally time for God’s Prophets to Rise! Click to Tweet #GodsSpecialEffects #SpiritualGifts #SuperBowl2018

Remember that the number one goal of scenes is to move the story along. You do that by creating conflict in your dialogue, as well as using action, and a bit exposition.

Someone on Facebook said, “I don’t think God cares about who wins the Super Bowl.” I knew that wasn’t exactly true. God does a lot of things we don’t understand. He cares for everything that concerns his creation, which is us. Man is made in the image of God. #GodsSpecialEffects #SpiritualGifts #SuperBowl2018
